SUNBLOCKING

Post by Dr ABAP »

Question; why doesn't SUNBLOCK (common texture) do it's job.. I have sunlight coming thru corners in my walls!! I have angled the walls to meet and used CAULK (also have tried various others too) on these facets......

If you saw the flash from my gun.. I probably missed!!! But then I seldom do....

Only seems to come tru on angled walls

I have a few with corners slotting beside each other and no sunlight comes tru ,seems if you do it correctly like angling them it doesnt work very well.

Light clip

Post by tltrude »

I have never tried it, but there is a light clipping texture called "LIGHT" in common. My guess is that the light clipping brush has to be inside the wall because it may cast shadows.

You can also try changing the direction of your sun a few degrees if one wall corner is being a pain. I have also never done that, but it is in the worldspawn properties (Key N, the gray box).
