Finding the Destroyed Village map

Post by BLUES_MAN »

Hello all, how would one go about loading a map (prefabley DestroyedVillage) so I can see how it was made and disect it? In the UT2003 editor, you can open up the maps that came with the game and see how the pro s did their work, and I would like to see how the Mohaa guys/gals whatever did theirs. Thankin all in advance ...BLUES_MAN

With Moh Radiant the dev's included a sample map - m4|0 located in the m4|0 directory. Also there is another map called testfirefight.map in the docs directory. If you want to see other maps you have to use Scorpiomidgets MoHTools (its available in the files section). Its a "decompiler" and certainly isn't perfect, but it should give u and idea of whats going on.....

Thanks for the responce, I did find the firefight map, looked it over, still has the basics like Ued3, that Im used to, like everything is inside a box, so this decompiler, would that be the only way of finding the pro s maps? thanks for the info...BLUES_MAN

Read my reply in this thread, it might explain why you can't re-create a perfect map file from the BSP. The reason is not that Scorpios BSP viewer is a bad program....it's just that it's not enough information in the BSP file.
