Ok i am having trouble finding these following tutorials:
changing of door sounds
light switch
elevator
if i think of some more i need i will let you know
" If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside."
I can help with the door thing. When you make a door press "N" and in the scroll bar go down until its says change sound or play different sound in game. I cant really remeber exactly what its called but that should work for you. Note: The sound will only work if its an original sound UNLESS you know how to edit the Ubersound.scr Just go to the tutorial page and read the Ubersound workaround and you will get it.
I didn't know for a long time, now I'm still not sure. Is it the following way?
What you can enter as a sound to be used is one of the aliasnames you'll find in the pak0.pk3/ubersound/ubersound.scr in lots of lines like: aliascache door_wood_open_move1 sound/mechanics/DoorWoodOpen_01.wav soundparms 1.2 0.2 0.8 0.2 160 1600 item loaded maps "m1 m2 m3l2 m3l3 m4 m5 m6 dm moh obj train"
The red part is what you'll have to enter in the door properties.
thx for trying on the door thing there is a simpler way its like hit N and targetname: doortype
and the other little box you type metal
but its a little different cant figure it out... i seen it some where
" If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside."
i have a metal sliding door triggered by a trigger_use to open it.
gave it key/value sound_move / door_metal_open_move2 and sound_stop / door_metal_close_stop1
both exist in uebersound.scr, when i put them in my tik and precache 'em, the engine even says, they are precached twice, but that door still has its wooden sound.
I have a metal garage door. I tried doortype = metal, but it's a regular metal door sound, not what I'm after. How do I get the sound for garage doors?
