Importing/Exporting in Milkshape

Post by Sgt.Stafford »

Ok, got milkshape......but when I import some of the weapons/models it says that they are not supported properly. Too many weighted vertices or something like that. I have scorpios plugin but it doesnt seem to do anything.....I am sure it does but I guess I have it set up wrong?

You havent done anything wrong. Milkshape is a b*tch when it comes to weighted vertices. You should be able to import anything that isn't a player model.

I dunno how to use 3ds max :( so i cant help you there. There are tools in the Spearhead SDK for exporting models.

P.S. Can I see some of your work ?

Umm... Where Can I get 3dsmax? Its says to set up a meeting with someone in your area. I just want to test it out. Lightwave has a demo so that is not a problem but I cant really set up a meeting.

Hmmm, have you tried phoning a game company or 3d modeling studio in your area?

If you have no way of testing 3ds max, you can always try Lightray, or Lightwave 3d. The Lightwave site is http://www.lightwave3d.com .
