prefab positioning

sometimes ....well alot of the time if i am working on a certian spot in a map and want to add aprefab it will load on the other side of the map,does anyone hae a solution to this ? i have tried highlighting where i want it to go tht does not work all the time one of the msot annoying is the crates that little thing is hidden on the other side of the map lol

I have this same problem but I have noticed that as I save out my own prefabs they load into the same place as I initially saved them out as prefabs, when I have loaded other peoples prefabs it seems they load to the same co-ordinates as they were initially saved out by whoever made them, I have not found a way around this but I think I know why it happens :)

Generally save your prefab at (0 0 0) for standardization.

You will have to move it when you add it to a map though.

When i need to move a small object a great distance I usually create a big extra brush. Select them all together, zoom out and move it by dragging the big brush. Then delete the temp brush.
