Custom Textures

Post by RedRanger »

I put my tga file in mohaa/main/textures/test/ and load MOHradiant. When I click on 'test' under the textures menu, it says that it loads my tga file but it never shows up in the textures window! I also made a pk3 file and it did the same thing.

Next, I tried copying a tga from Pak2.pk3 into my textures/test folder, thinking that I may have made my tga incorrectly, but it still did the same thing.

What am I doing wrong here? What's the trick to this?

Thanks,
Adam

to add custom images
in your MOHAA/main/maps folder
make a textures/custom folder and add the images there
then in MOHRadiant they will show up under right click Custom
thats what the custom is for
and make sure you include this textures folder in your pk3

The game is very picky with the TGA format. Make sure it is a 32 bit TGA or it wont show up. That sucks too because it means the file is going to be huge. A 256 X 256 image file will end up being 1Mb.

Also, look in Pak2.pk3 in the textures folder and in the test folder to make sure you did not name your file the same as one already in the game.

Hope that helps.

I created a folder in MOHAA/MAIN/TEXTURES?MYTEXTURES
and they work fine
make sure when your map is complete you add those folders in the structure they are into the pak3 or others wont see them..

So, how exactly do you save the .tga as a 32 bit .tga? In PSP, I can only save it as 24, 16, and 8 bit .tga's.
