hosting

i've never tried to set up an MP game before, and im not subscribed to any servers to host any. The version of gamespy i've got is too old aswell, so i cant run it without downloading a very large upgrade. Is it free to host when you set up in-game from the create server screen? And is there any way of filteriong the list of servers in-game, instead of having to search thru about 4000 games to find one.

And hosting is easy tho you need a good connection to support more than 6 players
