im making a shootout map where 2 players have to face each ohter in a arena with pistols. but is it possible to let the players start with no weapons or only a pistol ?

i think it is... its called modding... but this will affect all other maps that are installed as well... i dont beleive it is possible to script your map so you can only spawn with pistols... many people have asked simular questions... please use the forum search engine.

yes it's possible, you'll need 2 edit the DM script though (resulting in all DM games having only pistols)
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

i belive there is some sort of server side mod where you can edit DM settings. i have been in clan matches where they reload the current map, it sets a password, frag and time limit, and things like freindly fire. i think my clan runs such a program, ill ask around and see if i cant find it for you.

you may be able to load the custom scripts for certain matches like clan try outs or to settle the "i own you" fights that pop up all the time.

I think theres a way 2 remove any weapons. I saw a server-side mod that removed the bazooka+panzerchek (however u spell it) from multiplayer games (I think i saw it at the modding theater) any way so there should be a way to remove all weapon classes apart from pistols.

I have some .pk3 files that you add into the map for each weapon to be removed seperately. If you would like them, let me know! I will email them to you.

why not just agree to only pull out pistols?
