Post by Sgt.Stafford »

Can someone tell me how to set up radient for s/head. I have just got it......tried to compile a map but no luck. Do I have to have an updated version if I have S/Head installed?

Im guessing the standard radiant doesnt work...........

From what I understand there is a radient that is for specificly for spearhead. It takes into account the different textures and weapons that spearhead uses. I believe that there is only one mbuilder that is used to compile both maps. The resulting pk3 files that are made for spearhead go into the mainta folder instaed of the main folder. (I am not 100% sure on this info as I have not tried to do a sperahead map yet, although my first 2 maps will work in SH without any problems)

The paths are pretty much the same as for the original mohradiant set the base path to your mohaa directory : c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\ or what ever , I don't think the mapspath or the autosave path matter mine are set to c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\maps but I don't use that directory or autosave for my maps , the entity directory is set to \code modelmask set as *.tik moddir is set to mainta . The original radiant does work I made maps and loaded them in spearhead before I got the SDK you can't see the models and if you put an ai into your map and get close enough to it so that radiant trys to draw it radiant will crash unless you use the "show models as bounding boxes " option or you can spawn them from script but your better off getting the SDK for spearhead
