To map or not to map????

Post by mohaa_rox »

I've been real busy lately, with school. Exams are coming round the corner and.....sigh.......i don't wanna study!!!!!!! :x

Anyway, in my free time, i usually skin than map. Now i skin more than map, and that's not normal. I spend 95% of my time skinning instead of mapping. I think mapping may not be the right thing for me. So should I drop mapping? Or continue? Or do both?

Its really up to you Rox - which do you enjoy more ?? I would suggest you sit down and think about it and decide to take one over the other so you can really concentrate on it..

why not both??? - so what if you skin 95% of the time. I spend about 90% of my time working on weapon mods or server mods but I still map. I've got one now that I've been working on for almost 2 weeks and have only done the walls and a few static pieces in it. At the rate I'm going it's gonna be another month before i get done with it. the point is while I don't map most of the time, I still enjoy doing it - and if it takes a long time to get one done this way, so what. Do what you want to do!

MOHAA rox if there is one thing I like is taking ideas from other people. And you are other people. Once you stop I have nothing to base my map on. LOL just kidding. But still you are a great mapper/scripter and havent seen your skinning so I cant say anything really. But like You I have exams reports research paper due so Its not possible to release my first map until This semester is over (may). So jsut hang in there Buddy

from the screens and the skins i have of urs, i'd be inclined to say-"SKIN, SKIN LIKE MAD, MAN!"

but, ur such an asset to me as a scripter (who politely points out my subtle errors), i think i'll say--"SKIN, SKIN LIKE MAD, MAN, but keep offering mapping and scripting advice..."

:D u follow?
