Triggering events?

Hi,

How can I create events (e.g. a tank drive by) that only start when triggered? What should I add to the script and to the map?

Other question: How can I make sounds playing the whole time in some parts of my map (e.g. the sound of rain falling on a roof, the sound of a camp fire)?

Hey Manstein,

we know us from Map4All. :shock:

1. Your Tank Question: I got it working with a info_waypoint path and a trigger to start the movement.

Code: Select all

starttank:

$tank_trigger waittill trigger

iprintlnbold "Tankmovement triggered."
// MSG on screen
$tank_trigger remove
$sherman_tank drive $tankpath 270 60 200 256
// drive vector position, speed, acceleration, reach_distance, look_ahead

end


But something strange happens: The sherman starts shooting at me if I walk in front of it. *weird* :twisted:
If someone knows a solution for it, please tell me! :?:

2. Play looping sounds
(not tested!)
It should be possible if you put the following line into your script

Code: Select all

$entityname loopsound soundloopalias
// entityname is the ent that should play the loopsound
