3d view problem

i am interesting in starting mapping, i am tooking at the .map mapping tutorials. I selected caulk as my textrue and i dragged a square, only nothing is showing up in the "3d window" what could be wrong?

You aren't viewing it. You gotta move towards it, you'll see the camera in the map. So just right click in the 3d viewing area, and use your mouse keys to move around and find it.

are you sure ur 3D view was actually pointing toward the bush you created?
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

..to make sure it is, hold down Ctrl and click the (if you have one) middle mousebutton to move the camera to that point. (To use the middle mousebutton, go to Edit, Preferences and check the '3 button mouse' box).

I'll like to add don't hold down ctrl but press the middle button after you did it while holding down ctrl and pressing the middle button this will turn you towards the point you middle click without moveing you
