lol, u mean everything clear now? :P

and only targa files can actually drop the black to make them passable, if you use jpg images then the black will stay in the map that's why they get renamed :D

everything clear now, now??? :P:P
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

was trying to be funny :? that's why I said 'anything'...

I thought, that the engine just can't compile (prog-compile, not map-compile) a shader using the extension 'jpg' but needs 'tga' and then decides whether it is a targa or a jpg itself...

Anyway, I think, it ought to be clear now!?

LOL you know you are right of course now I painted myself into a box LOL

Hehehe comes of writing posts at ridiculous hours and not really saying what you thought you said or meant to say or plain forgot hehehehe

What a smuck!

And I tried to sound so knowledgable!

I guess since I tend to stay with tga's for possible later re-editing reasons and a good many of my files have alpha's jpgs hardly get a look in so I always use tga in the shaderanyhow.
Thanks for reminding me though about that as when I have final images for public use in HIP it will probably mean converting those that can be to jpgs to help keep the over all size down..there are not that many that can be though yikes!

I am sure you forgive me for possibly sounding like a dingbat hehehehe

OH I know someone else logged in under my name! or or ermmm I had a late night at the boozer.....my girlfriend left me! my pet slug dried up on the radiator! ....erm erm the CIA hacked my mail! ermmmmmm
my hand slipped and accidently reedited the post to read that way!!
There was a reason I just cant remember it any more.....I am OLD!

I'm afraid under new UK Laws you are too old to have any fun whats so ever. You have been sentenced to play Bingo for the rest of your life. Long life El Presidento Blair !!! :P

hehehe

Tell you what Sumo, another project that is well developed but needs alot of work and finishing is Pointe Du Hoc.
Its been sitting on my computer shelf for 10 months,
The major terrain is done and several bunkers and a rough obj area but it really needs a through overhaul and rework.

I will search out the most recent build and some pictures,
It got to that point where good ol radiant made me go round in circle rebuilding and rebuilding the same stuff as each time I tried to move on new errors would get in with stuff that had been fine for months.
I am sure there's a cumlative save problem with Radiant somehow.

Be patient as this loads up its an animated slide show I did and its not the last build I did but quite a few before.
