The Road to Caen
What is it?
The project is a film that will be made using a well known game called medal of honor : Allied Assualt spearhead expansion pack as you should know is set in World War 2.
How?
The film will be made using the multiplayer part of the game. The director, actors and the cameramen, will join a server and film to the story line and however the director wants it to look. We will be using pre made and orginal maps created by the map designers. There will also be drivable vehcles that will be scripted and programmed by the programmers in the movie that will add more excitment to the film and for the actor. Plus the creation of new skins for the characters. Eventualy it will be a mod aswellthat will be released to the public, but for now the main purpose of this project is to create a exciting film.
We will have a team of people that will act as characters in a server, being told what to do by the director, there will be cameramen filming the scenes which will follow the storyline using video capturing software. These clips will be then edited. by adding sound fx, music, and graphics enhancements.
The Story.
The film will be based on true events about the Landings and the securing of sword beach, pegasus bridge and Caen.
Sword beach was codenamed this beacuase it was the 5th furthest left beach in the invasion and was the most important beach to be secured out of the 5 beaches in total. landing on Sword were the Royal Marine Commandos of the 1st Special Service Brigade. Under the command of Brigadier Lord Lovat they were given the objective of linking up with the British 6th. Airborne at Pegasus Bridge then push further into to caen to stop the counter attack of the 21st Panzer devision on caen, but unfortunaly they were already there when the british forces arrived.
