HELP ME!!!!!
My damn computer has this "system registry" error whereby sometimes they say "Windows has encountered a problem accessing the system registry". Then each time i restart my comp, most of my computer data are lost..........

Doh! No restore with 98. You'll have to go through the registry by hand and hope you spot the porblem. Pop in your window startup floppy.

In my opinion I would say ditch Windows 98. XP is so much better that I took my copy of windows 98 and used it as a frisby.
I also bet money that you have a ton of junk on your registry that is screwing your computer up. Try and find a program called AD-Ware to kill all the spyware on your computer. That program will locate ghost programs in the registry that need not be there because they were either uninstalled or are sneaky little spyware programs that just love to crash and bash your computer. 98 has almost 0 support for this kinda thing.
XP is the best operating system out there. I don't care what anyone else says.

when i had those kinda problems with system registery i used spy bot!!!
what it does is checks all your cookies and system registery and all sorts of crazy things for problems! its easy to use too
and free! i will get a link for it in a while

Probably your files will stay intact, but be sure to backup some of the criticals...
For getting rid of those spyware use spybot- "search and destroy", for cleaning your registry use "regclean" and after you've killed all the shit out of your registry that still reffers to software that hasn't been on your computer for ages, then use norton 2003 utilities registry check.
That worked for me, on my win98 and winXP computers!
