I hate the fact that the anonymity of the Internet makes people think they can behave badly without counting on getting exposed... but as an admin on one of the most popular servers in Sweden ( ToTAL[#2] ), I can safely say that you CAN get rid of cheaters... not by installing nifty anti-cheat patches, but by watching the server closely... There is such a thing as banning the IP of the cheating player ( remember that cheaters ), and an experienced player can spot a potential cheator quite easily. A round of spectating the accused is often ehough to see if he cheats. Using the evil chameleon skin, will make it VERY clear if a player is cheating or not ( a guy following an enemy on the other side of the wall with the crosshairs is rather suspicious ).

But many beginners will feel as beeing cheated on on the ToTAL[#2] server because many of the top northern european players ( on www.clanbase.com) play there. So please, dont enter a new server and start screaming "cheater!" just because you get sniped in the head once in close combat... Pure skill is a scary "Aim-bot" when applied correctly.

If you are really paranoid about cheaters, play a server that runs Pandora( or any other server side anticheat software ).

Dont cheat, it will not make you a better player, it will f**k up your reflexes an make you worse...

I know it can be tempting and 'exiting' to do things that aren't (officially) allowed, but in the end there's only one conslusion...

I don't cheat to win, but I have used a variety of cheats for small periods to test them and see what kind of hacks are being used out there and how effective they are. I browse the most "popular" cheat site and keep an eye on things because knowing what kind of cheats exist is the best way to combat them.

I see players using the skin hacks and now the new aimbot (which works, sadly - but is very easy to spot). When I have spectated them and decided that they do cheat I normally leave the server.

To be really honest, although some of the cheats I have tested do give an advantage they don't particularly improve me as a player that much. I find that I do just as well without them, simply by relying on my ears and reactions and experience.

Plus, using them didn't provide me with any fun.
