Converting Maps

Post by =(5ADF)= FIREST(+)RM »

First off, I'd like to say "wicked site - keep up the good work"

Now for my question...

I'm just wondering if it's possible to convert the Single Player Campaign Maps into Multiplayer Maps, and if so, how ?

When it comes to stuff like MOHRadiant, etc., I'm a complete n00b, so if anyone has any links or suggestions for how to do the conversion, I'd be really grateful.

not as easy as it sounds

repack the .pk3's (create new 1's just incase) and put the .bsp .min .lin .prt in the dm folder, then the .scr you'll need 2 make from scratch 2 remove all the "built-in" ai
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

When u have a .lin, u don't have a .prt. When u have a .prt, u don't have a .lin.

A .lin is generated due to leaks in maps.

Well there's a program called BSP View/Mohaa Tools, made by Duncan Weir (A.K.A: Scorpio). The only problem with it is that you do not get the exact same .map as the one used to create the map. LOD will be gone, lots of things will be missing, problems like that.

its not hard at all!!!! it took me 30 mins to convert snipers last stand to TDM!!! WTF YOU TALKING ABOUT? and why are you putting .lin and .prt and so on files in the dm folder? all you need is the BSP and the .scr!!! now if your running on a mac n' crash you gonna have problems. if you want to have a sp map converted to TDM (tdm is only thing i do because anything else is just dumb and i cant make obj :( ) just take the bsp file from the original pk3 and copy it into a new pk3 with the right directories and such!!!

here is a thread i started about the map i mentioned above that only took 30 mins to make :D you should dl it too because no one seems to be interested :(
