MOHRadiant really getting on my nerves

Post by Ferril »

Is this really the same program used by the mapmakers of MOH:AA?

Latest annoyance:
I cannot load the general structure textures into the texture window while my main working map is loaded. Radiant crashes anytime I try. So..to make anything with these textures I have to make them as prefabs and import.

I am assuming this is a memory issue.

Just ranting.

hey Ferril,

Got the same problem :(

When Mohradiant crushes on me I restart it, start a new map, load the textures I want into it and then open the map I am working on.
The textures stay in MohRadiant memory from map to map.

- It works for me, it might for you.

I have 512 megs of RAM.
Are you running Windows 2000 by any chance?

That's just one of the things that mapping so much fun.
If I create a patch Endcup and then try to create an Inverted Endcup on it to complete the arch, 9 out of 10 times MohRadiant will crash.

I save my maps every 30 seconds

running XP pro, 512 megs of rambus

Kinda acts like a memory problem, but on some huge maps I can still load the textures and some other smaller prefab-only maps I can't.

Might be time to add more RAM anyway.

Surgeon, the endcap crash is the result of the way they're distorted when you rotate them. Just look at the vertices. Make sure they're snapped to the grid and lined up properly.
