n00b needs help again :(

Hi all,
once again ive read through the tutorials and have got stuck i cant compile the maps it wouldnt work so i copyed wot it kept saying in MS-DOS

thanks m8,
do u mean that i have to take them outta my main folder or outta the folder my maps a saved in as i have followed the tutorials and saved them in MOHAA/main/maps. :?:

Also when i save it doent seem to save a bsp file for some reason.
any ideas :?:

Remove them from your main and mainta folder. Radiant is not supposed to save bsps.

maybe ur folder is "Read only" :)

there is no bsp file, because of the 'match token' error in file mohaa/scripts/crossfire.shader!

look up main/scripts/crossfire.shader, there's the error.
try to find out, what is wrong with this line 14. If you can't, post this shader here.

if you can't find this file, it's hidden in one of the pk3s in mohaa/main

that's why you was told to remove all custom pk3s. Make a temporary folder like mohaa/main/trash and put the custom pk3s in there. Custom pk3s are all but pak#.pk3 and entdefs.pk3!
Nevertheless, once this first step is taken, you should try to find that crossfire.shader and to correct the incorrect pieces

wot folder do u mean might be read only because im having a problem autosaving aswell it comes up cannot save file is read only.

for the first time saving your map, you must save as and give it a name!

right i got the map loading and it whent to the background loading screen and loaded and when it finished loading a health meter and a compass appeared but the screen stayed the same ?
i havent got a clue wot to do so any ideas would be welcome :oops:

So you did solve the compile error and the auto save error and now have another one?
