Door trouble
Hey guys I'm gettin pretty good at this mappin stuff but I created one sliding door in my map and when i created anotherone it would'nt work. Im about 99% sure i did the same stuff. they are the same size and i went right click ->func->door and choose the angle to open at but the door just will not open any idea what i could be doin wrong
if you make it auto_open, it'll open when you just come near and you wont have to 'use' it. Is this what you want? it's rather something for trapdoors or flying saucers (maybe a good idea for a new map!?)
i would leave everthing unchecked, just set the correct angle. If it doesn'T work, try another angle. If I explained this you wouldn't get my english stammering anyway
I tried it once and it made things rather worse...

Did you have the origin selected when you used func>door? If you don't have the origin selected with the door brush when you make it a func>door then it will not be a door.CASH wrote:well it is a func door but it doesnt move at all nor make any noises i think i have target open or whatever checked, should i

door
Select your door and hit key N. Now read the stuff in the gray box that tells all the options for your door. One is "targeted" (spawnflags 128) which turns off the normal built-in trigger, so a remote one can be used. Just uncheck that box and it should work fine.
