can any of u help me answer these questions...
I am makin a single player level and there is alot i need to know like...
1) well i want another plane to move in my map... I used nemises plane tutorial and it works fine... But i try to copy it so i can make a second plane to move... but it doesn't work. How do i get another plane to move?
2) I want to add an objective on my map which are. "pick up documents" and "kill general" How do i do this??
3) Any one know how do get your allies to follow u?? U know like in the Sniper town level, where they follow ur everymove.
4) anyone know how to get a man to talk? like a script.

- No idea. Never tried a plane.
- Objectives can be added using the global/objectives.scr script. Example:
This line of code adds the document objective to the objective list. The parameters mean the following:

- 2: this means 'in progress', you can use the following numbers:
- don't draw
- in progress
- completed
- 'Get the docs' is the text that will appear in the objective window when the player presses TAB.
- $documents.origin is the target at which the pointer of the player's compass aims.
'1' is the unique number of the objective.Code: Select all

This will cause friendly #1 to scream an attack sound. I'm just going to give you a little hint, all dialogue animations are loaded by the 'models\human\animation\dialogue\generic_dialogue_US.tik file in pak0.pk3.

i have been able to do the 3 objective easy and they work fine
1) find soldiers
2) get documents
3) go to truck
i am goin to see if the allies will follow me now.. so i will be bk..

Some answers to your questions:
There are two types of caulk, skycaulk and normal caulk. Skycaulk is the easiest, it just replaces the brush it's on with sky in the color of the fog. You probably haven't noticed, but the test map has a little fog in it. The other kind of caulk is just something that's not drawn in game but still solid. Use this on every face that the player cannot see in game.
You need path nodes to get the AI running around. They won't move a foot if there are no path nodes nearby. Path nodes also contain additional information about good cover spots and special attack possibilities, like shooting around the corner or over the top of a crate. If well placed, this can make the AI look smart.
I hope this makes something clear, tell me if you want another example map.
- Soldiers saying scripted things
- Killing soldiers with the script.
- Objectives like '[x remaining]'
Some answers to your questions:
The 'actors' brushes are AI-only clip brushes. They tell the AI they cannot move there. Now the AI wouldn't consider walking through the car I put in the map, but could get stuck behind for example the rear view mirror. If you put an actor brush around it, the boundaries of the vehicle get smooth and the AI can easily move around it and determine the shortest path.How come u have all this "actors" and Chalk around. i have had this map editor for a v long time, and i have always wanted to make soldiers follow me and planes move and now it works!

yea plz can ya make it so a soldier dies in a certain area. cause like i made a enermy with a mounted mashine gun. He will shoot me but not the allies, so i want a allie to die in a certain area.
Also do u know how to spawn allies and axis at certain areas by triggers or wat eva?
would be good to hear a soldier say a script!

Can't tell you any way to fix this. Ok do u know how to make a tank, truck move? i would like a tank to move in my map, where it will shoot at u and u can blow it up with a bazzoca! dat would be SWEET!
i am havin trouble makin a bend in the road... i know how to do it in a way... BUT.. well here is the prob..
i have a straight road.. at the end a want a bend in it, but when i make the ben, the textrure is the wrong way around! SOO annoyin. i want to make a bend cause i am goin to add barbed wire on the road so the player can't go any further down the road. And then u can see a bend which leads off somewhere.
i am still annoyed with the fact that Yea my objectives work proberly but if i walk to my last mission (go to truck where the level ends) it will finish level. But i want it to wait till the other missions r done.
