Problem With Sound- please help

:arrow: Im interested in learning to mod and map and have completed the first few tutorials on mapping, ive completed 2 practice maps and succsesfully played them after compiling with MBuilder, my only problem is, i dont get any in game sounds, gunshots,explosions,taunts, etc. is this an error? is there something i have to add to hear these? please help.

you won't hae the sounds until
a) you pack ur files into a .pk3 folder
b) you plug your speakers in
c) you turn the volume up

if after all this fails... and they're SP (single player) maps
name the
test_***.map where *** is the name you'd like
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

no problems :D always here to help, if i'm not i'm sue some1 else well tell u complete lies until i come back

on the other hand though they might know what they're talking about and solve ur problem :P

actually, if you just put the bsp, scr, min, etc in the correct dir, sound works without a pk3

IE: for an obj map use:

main/maps/obj

for a dm map:

main/maps/dm

it depends on the file an the way they are loaded, SP maps won't play sound without the correct prefix
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/
