subject says it all. these brushes, like most in radiant, are not very straight forward with their uses or function. what do these do and what are their seperate functions?
I am sure jv knows. i noticed he used them in his bot edition of opcenter.
also, what is the actor brush?
what is a HINT or a SKIP texture?

common/hint is the same texture as common/vis and does do nothing more than create vis portal splits at any face where it is applied. It is very useful nonetheless, you can find tons of good info about this on for example quake editing websites.
