shader error

Hi ! :D so first i just wanted to commend you guys on this excellent website, ive been cruising along nicely on my first map thanks to all of you. i just put my first custom texture in the map, complete with proper shader file and all, and it shows up fine in game, but during compile i get

: Shader has no surface type specified!

and then a few lines later -> 1 shaders are missing a surface type. These
should be fixed!

But ! i do have my "surfaceparm stone" line after qer_keywords, and everything in the shader file is as it should be. ive also tried "surfaceparm wood" just to change it up. Any ideas, or should i worry ? ...i just hate compile errors ... THANKS !!

show me your shader script.. and is your directories in the shader script set to the right paths, is shader in proper place, ummm there is a number of things that could be wrong here.

mi bad, i assumed that since the tex showed up in the game that all my paths were correct.... the texture and script folders are both in mohaa\main, let me know if theres anything else you need.

hmmm, this is curious indeed, three custom textures now - one from scratch, two modified mohaa .tgas (all photoshop) , and only two of the three (mine and a mohaa) are giving me the same shader error ...the third one which gave me no error was a script i cut and pasted from the manor_floor script file. so i tried the same cut and paste method (from the manor_floor script) with the other two scripts, and it made no difference.
and still everything shows up fine in game. :?

map textures/aspyrwall/aspyrwall.tga
are your textures in pk3 format? that would make it easier to sort out... the only thing i could think of being wrong is the directory.... textures/aspyrwall/... is the folder and asprywall.tga do you have a new folder for each texture????? :? not good.. but if you can keep it sorted then it should be fine... i dont know what could be wrong here :?
