switches

Post by tltrude »

There are three animated switches in Mohaa, a train lever, a rotating switch, and an alarm switch. I don't know if they added a new one in Spearhead, but it is probably a script_object switch (made from brushes) that is rotated by the script.

To deactivate the builtin trigger of a rotating door, you need to place a checkmark in the box that says "Targeted" (key N) and give the door a trgetname. Then the trigger at your switch can target the door to open and close it.

trigger_use

Make a brush and give it the trigger texture. Then highlight it and hit key N. Now find trigger_use on the list and double click on it. In the Key: box type "target" (no quotes) and in the Value: box type the targetname you gave the door and its origin brush. A line should appear showing they are connected.
