Post by martijn_NL »

I saved my map with radiant, next day i wanted to continue building my map. When I opened the map the only thing that was left were all the static objects, door, windows and script objects. The houses, bunkers, sky and the enverement were gone. I don't have a back up of the map. So can someone help me woth this, or a few weeks of work are gone :'(

Filters are a way of "flitering" what you see in MoH Radiant. Go to View -> Filters and uncheck any lines that are ticked. That should show you everything in your map again. There are short-cut keys as well

Mymap.bak

There is a backup made automatically. It ends in extention .bak and, if you change it to .map you can use it. However, you may have a bad line in your map file. A bad text line will prevent all the lines below or above it from loading and all those things will show up as an untextured box near the center of your map (don't delete it!).

Open your .map file with Wordpad. Look for the divide between things that did not show up, and things that did show up. Some of the things that can cause it are:

1. Double quotes around a ""message"" text line.
2. Entities with weird coordinates (99999999999....).
3. Missing {} bracets.

With a little luck, you can repair your map by correcting the text, deleting a bad entity, or adding missing lines. The entities are always at the bottom of the page and the last one created will be number 1.

Good luck--You'll need it!!!
