Will pay for a map!

Post by 7Matt7 »

I have no patience for mapping, but i have been wanting a map of an area of my hometown that me and my neighbor can play. I would be willing to pay for one. I could send pics and a pretty good blueprint. If you're interested post here or send email to aliasalias77@hotmail.com
Thanks

A low quality map would take 6 to 8 weeks to do, and a high quality one could take 6 to 8 months!! Even if you payed a mapper minimum wage, it would cost more than the value of your computer--with all those hours of work.

Most of us do it for fun, not money. Post your pictures.

Let's talk dollars and deposits.......seriously..........Ok, maybe kidding, but Trude is right. You'd spend a fortune to pay someone. Throw out some numbers and you might get someone to do it. Better satisfaction out of doing it for yourself though.

I'll post some pics in a day or 2. What do you mostly work on?

As far as how much to pay, i don't have any idea. i want the map bad, but i'm not rich. I'll pay anyone who helps what i can. i had no idea mapping took so long. Like i said it dosn't have to be perfect i just want the general layout. although i think when i post some pics of the bulidings i'm talking about people will be interested.

mapping isnt supposed to be for money, unless oyu work for a games developer. you map for the satisfaction of having completed a damn good thing that people will know you for. not for money :| personally i wouldnt map for money because

money = job
job = deadline
deadline = not having any freedom of the hours you work on a map
-------------
= not good

map for fun, not for money!

I would definitely map for money, if I had time and they could pay me the real cost, making maps would be steady work, 4 month contracts would be fine with me. Yeah I enjoy it but I would enjoy it so much more if I was paid to do it.

"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

lets turn this into a contest, like best adaptation of what 7matt7 wants wins. wins whatever it is...like a toaster-oven. im going to be taking on this project for fun....and maybe for an old school type writer or something.

kinda informal with out really a finish date or anything, i think that would be fun. but im a wacko so WHATEVER!:D
