What does this mean? Makes no sense!

Post by Silent_Death »

"These are the easiest doors to create. Simply create your door brush inside your doorway. With the door brush selected, right click and select func -> door. Then with the brush still selected enter the angle you want the door to slide to."

How do I get a door brush? I thought it was by func -> door but he says I need a door brush before I do that. So what does he mean? How do I get a door brush?

in the white box in radiant type door. This will bring up the door textures.
Apply the door textures to the door.
Next/
Right click on the graph paper in radiant WHILE THE DOOR IS HIGH LIGHTED and go down to func---Rotating door.
To lazy to explain the rest...

i think what hes asking for is the actual door brush. silent death, a door brush is a "block" that you draw on the grid. hold the left mouse button and draw a box in the grid. then right click the box and go to func then door.

You know... if you did the Getting Started Tutorial you should know many of the things you've been needing to know, (one of which was how to reselect a brush).

with the door selected, press N. in the bottom left of the popup window, you'll see numbers like this...

0
270 U D 90
180

click the number in the direction you want the door to open. for example, if you want the door to open to the left, click 270. if right, click 90, if go down, click D. if up click U.

None of those angles make the door open like regular doors. (like in real life or in MOHAA)

hmm... do you want a SLIDING door or a ROTATING door?

if you want a rotating door then you have to create a 2nd block on the door. cover all sides of the new block with "origin". the block should be placed where the hinges of the door would be. then select both the door and that origin block, and right click. go to func>rotating door. it should rotate on a hinge now.
