Sound/spearhead?

I have a problem with my map when i load it with spearhead, there are problems with the sounds of some weapons, he can't find the sounds.
And when my map is in the main of spearhead, then some loadingscreens of other custom maps doesn't appear because of my map.
I don't now why but my map cause a big problem in spearhead, so if someone wonna help me with this, then you can download my map so you can see what the problem is.
Put the fille in the main of spearhead and take a german skin with a sniper or rifle and use rocket lancer with the rifle.

wow, Snake, impressive piece of mapping! I can't comment on playability yet, but it sure is a beauty. 8)
From what I could tell you didn't use any specific localized sounds, so I'm guessing you won't need that "fixed" ubersound.scr. Spearhead uses its own ubersound and the one your map is useing right now is from mohaa and doesn't have the proper alias for the Axis' Gewehr43-rifle.
I'd say make a new pk3 without the ubdersound.scr and see if it makes a difference.
I didn't notice anything strange about the loadingscreens of other custom maps though. Maybe the problem has to do with some other custom map(?)

There is a post or thread about how to make a custom tiki that you can precache with your map and load the sounds you need . Do a search .

One of the problems is your shader file. There are a number of left curley braces ({) that should be right curley braces (}).

I know, I wrote one of those posts. However I doubt if that's the problem here. You don't need to cache the weapons' sounds.

I think his shader is fine. He just didn't use blank lines between the different textures, but that shouldn't be a problem?

The offending curley braces are on lines 78, 248, and 299. They will cause texture problems if you run this map in Spearhead.

oops, you're right :wink: . There's some shader errors indeed. I tried loading some other custom maps (in mohaa and sh) and they are getting messed up with Snake's pk3 in the main or mainta folder. So yeah, check the shader and lose the ubersound.scr.

(but wow, what a map! you guys seen it already? don't let that foggy screenshot fool ya...)
