I just had a quick run through both.
They both load up fine and are playable.
1. Spyhard
Works well, however there are a couple of bugs. When you use the alarm switch in the sentry box, you can hear people screeming and dying , lol.
The AI seam a little slow to react, and also when you complete the mission. the game crashes.
2.Sub Attack
It Loads and is playable, also look very nice.
There are a few bugs here too, you have one bad brush the causes a large white/yellow sheet effect. It seams to come from the railing inside the wharehouse type building just off the main street.
Here you can see the brush error

And here you can see where it originates from

I hope this helps

They take long to load, but works fine.

Spy hard "locks up" at the start of the level, with like FPS of 5 for 10 15 seconds... Mapy a pre-cashe could solve that?

Sub ltevel has some MAJOR rogue brushes:

and I think I found where they came from:
Image Ithink the railing has too many brushes aligned against a single brush ( the middle railing ). That tends to cause this type of Gfx error.

Here is another:

I like the sub level best...

Those are called "Evil Polys" and Bob's plugin's will get rid of them--and Duplacate Planes.

sorry I just been busy on an expedition all weekend and with exams. I can send you (rox) a betterised version cos the planes flew through walls and the rubble was pretty flat.
sorry for the errors as well, I made it some time ago, it may have something to do with vis, but I dont know about that grey/yellow/white brush

Butch, here is the error:
Image Ithink the railing has too many brushes aligned against a single brush ( the middle railing ). That tends to cause this type of Gfx error. Aspecially when using that metal texture for some reason... just cut the railing into smaller sections....

plugins

Butch,

e-mail me and I'll send "Bob's plugin's". They go in a folder named plugins in MOHTools and can get rid of bad polys and duplicate planes.

Where can I get myself a copy of Bobs ?
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

I often see this error making metal ladders .

Deleting the ladder and start al over will sometimes help but
it must be in the textures you use in cobination.

After reading Bjarnes reply it make sense
railing has too many brushes aligned against a single brush
That's a ladder...

rails

Post by tltrude »

I think Bjarnes is right too. If you make the rails wider than the rungs, the problem goes away--same with railings.
