[Jack Ruby]

I heard of this guy a few years ago, I read his instructions in a special forces manual I aquired somewhere. He did his work in the 1700's. He was a real thorn in the French's side and also fought against the native Americans. Basicaly he ran a guerilla army years ahead of anyone else. His ideas were soo good that they were actually printed again for the vietnam war to give to the us soldiers.

All his tactics still work almost 300 years later

a couple of faves of mine are...

II. Whenever you are ordered out to the enemies forts or frontiers for discoveries, if your number be small, march in a single file, keeping at such a distance from each other as to prevent one shot from killing two men, sending one man, or more, forward, and the like on each side, at the distance of twenty yards from the main body, if the ground you march over will admit of it, to give the signal to the officer of the approach of an enemy, and of their number etc..


XV. At the first dawn of day, awake your whole detachment; that being the time when the savages choose to fall upon their enemies, you should by all means be in readiness to receive them.

My favourite tactic is aiming but I'm not all that very good at that

My tactic is one of these two:
Be first, guns blazing, surprice!

or

Be second, when they kill the guy in font: step forward an kill the vounded enemy by headshot ( see jv's base tactic )

my favourite tactic is dirty. Sneak up with the shotgun and shoot em in the back from close range. That or get in close and make it hard for them to aim by running circle around them. Works pretty well.

One of my moves is the "Fish Hook". Someone shoots at you, you duck around a corner and run around the back, jump out of a window, whatever, just so long as you arrive behind the fool that still thinks your behind that door or corner where he saw you, its then an easy walk up to club his head with your gun

XXI. If the enemy pursue your rear, take a circle till you come to your own tracks, and there form an ambush to receive them, and give them the first fire.

90% of the time the guy that thinks he is hunting you will have his back towards you when you arrive, decent guys realise whats happening then you can be in trouble, try it, it works most times

I had the chance to actually get to play the damn game the last couple days, was up till 5, I guess yesterday morning, long session but I tell ya...

The Fish Hook, 90% success with that move I reckon, maybe 80..

a tactic which worked for me once in a slow obj game, the bridge, was.... run like hell!there was oh mebbe 2 or 3 alliedsoldiers across the way, all snipers damn them so it was suicide to run across bridge so they mustve covered the lower reaches. I ran to the bridge, jumped off planted explosives they barely got a shot off each they jus dont co-operate they all want to claim the kill.I still remember my results, 12 kills for 23 deaths damn good by my reckoning
