Question about texture menu in moh Radient
When im using moh radient and i try to put texture on something, I click the textures menu. All the tutorials show a list of textures there. I have none. It stops at texture lock. What can I do?

Yes, you should see textures in the 3D view. There are a series of settings in Radiant that control texture quality, and if you set it too low you won't see them at all. So that's probably what's going wrong. Here's the settings that should work:
view -> render quality -> nearest (or better = lower in the list)
edit -> preferences -> texturing quality -> set it to the utmost right spot.

Well this is the result. I checked the things that you told me to. They were as you said they should be. So I started playing with all kinda settings. What I did was I went view-->texture window scale, and i started playing with those rates in there. Well the texture popped up. This only works for some of the textures that are available. Another thing i did was to add the texture and then move the brush and it would pop up. What is the deal here?

Ok i did some more playing. This is the proceedure i have to go to in order to get some texture on my brushes. I select the brush and choose a texture for it. Nothing happens. I change the texture window scale and the texture pops up. If I want to choose a different texture then I have to go to textures-----reload. I can then choose a different texture and change the texture window scale again to see the new texture. This process sucks. Is this what everybody else has to go through?

hmm wierd - I have MoH Rad setup so that it shows all 3 angles (side, top and front) along with the 3D view - this means that the texture box is a little box that pops up wheneven I hit T. To choose a texture I just load up the appropriate texture group, press t to bring the texture window up, select my face or brush and select a texture - voila one textured brush. My textures are scaled to 50% so I can easily see them.......

Ok Ive gotten past the texturing prob but have more questions. When I hit t and it brings up the texture box, how do i know what to type in? Is it something i just have to memorize? I mean there is like 100 different ones to choose from all under different groups. What do you do? Also when i try to add light by right clicking, I cant right click. It doesnt do anything. So I was reading the tutorials that sergeon wrote and the one about your first room is not there. I am a newbie so I may need some help. Most tutorials say to create a box and then hit the hollow button. They then say dont do it like this if your making a map. What is the best way to do this?

You can see a list of texture keywords in the 'texture keywords.txt' file in the tools/docs folder. These are all words you can type in in the texture box. I don't know why a right click wouldn't work, make sure you right click in the xy view. The tutorial is right, don't use the hollow function. Just create all brushes you need one by one. And by the way, have you changed your name from David to Fig?
