select your door and the origin brush, hit n then enter alwaysaway 1, you also may have to play with the angles of the door to make it open correctly.
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Search

I wish people would use the search part of this forum. Everyone asks that same question one time. Here is the answer again!

Alwaysaway 1 does not work and never has. We made a little rule for all doors:

*******************************************************
Set the door's angle to the direction players must face to open it!
*******************************************************

Works everytime!

alwaysaway does work . If you want the door to open from 0 to 90 set the angle at 90 or 180 if you use key:alwaysaway value:1 the game uses the opposite angle as well as the angle you set so by setting 90 the door will also use 180 depending on what side of the door you are on . Works for me everytime . The 0 angle is the hindge to the middle of the door so if the hinge to the middle of the door is toward the top of the map angle is 0 or 270 if you are useing alwaysaway 1 . :P

Try it out on some test doors. Setting awaysaway will do nothing to fix a backwards opening door. If the angle is set right, the door opens from both sides, away from the player.

Here is something I have never tried. Set a up a door that works and stand in front of it. Perss The use key twice. The door should open only partway and close again quickly. Then try the same door with alwaysaway 1 set and see if it stays open and will not close by pressing the use key from that side.
