yeah i've got that. quite cool isnt it? it also says it runs on quake 3 engine. does that mean we might be able to use Radiant for CoD?

What?! The Q3 Engine again?? I thought that was outdated!

The graphics look a lot better than MOH though.. are you sure its the same engine?

-Im not positive but I would guess that if its running on the Quake 3 engine that we can use the Radiant, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Yup as far as I know it will be running on a heavily modified RTCW version of Quake 3 so it will be Radient that will be used - it also means that if the official radiant is as buggy as MoH Radiant, we should be able to use GTK Radiant to map for it instead

I just picked up an issue of PC Gamer. It says that it uses a "modified" Q3 engine. The graphics look sweet! I can't wait till this comes out this winter.

if it uses the Q3 engine, does that mean we could use MOH Radiant? i mean it uses .pk3 and .map files the same as MOH doesnt it?

WHy would you want to use MoH Radiant - its one of the worst editors for the Q3 engine i've ever used. I only use it for MoH because I have to...

The engine it utilises will have very little impact on graphics or playability, that's entirely up to the designers.

The engine just offers the shell for the code and we all know that the Q3 engine is sturdy and does the job. I don't think it matters what engine they run it on so long as they make the game playable.

They have a much greater chance at doing it right than most developers (-cough- EA -cough-) because they've done it all before.

Good luck to them, I say. It certainly looks good.

Best thing about them using Q3 technology?

They don't have to spend 4 years making their own engine.

This means that they can get on with the content and playability aspects (as they already are) and release what will hopefully be an excellent game.
