i finished the map yesterday, and Kalti compiled for me. this is the final version, and i think every bug is fixed. all the buildings and walls around the edge of the map have got clip above them, so theres no way at all onto any of the roofs or under the map. also , i looked at the .map yesterday and there was no bottom to the skybox. i dont know if it was like that in the beta, but now my fps is alot better in it, about 30 looking out the church tower at the whole map.

heres the story of the map:
in the early 1940s, the Luftwaffe defeated the RAF in the Battle of Britain. Hitler then organised Operation Seelowe, the invasion of britian by sea and air along the south coast.
none of that happened tho. the raf won the battle of britain so the invasion couldnt take place, and thats when he started the blitz.

Nicely done map! IF I can offer a few suggestions.... FPS really, really bottoms out around the church, and I've got a pretty damn fast setup. I was in the 20-30 FPS range. Did you use VIS groups??? If not, you 'might' be able to take advantage of them in the whole map, if not just to boost the FPS in the church region. Your map is narrow, and the fogplane lets you see so much of it. With the level of detail (which is GREAT), I'd strongly suggest either putting in VIS groups finding a way to shorten the farplane. I've had TONS of problems with FPS myself, and found a lot of tricks to use the VIS and farplane to maximize my FPS even with a whole mess of detail/non-structural brushes around. Again, nice map...if the Germans can ever get off the beach! :) Should be fun, small, lots of access and hiding places.

i only used aa stuff, so itl work in aa and sh.

i get around 30 aswell, looking out the church window over the whole map. in spearhead with everything max except texture quality which is medium [sh wont let me have high textures] i get 40-50 in the same place. ive spent the last year on a 600mhz, 32mb vid card, 128mb ram pc tho, so im used to playing with always below 15fps, and i can play fine with that. i think someone said humans can only see 25fps anyway.

also, i wanted to make a detailed map so i did. if theres no detail then it wont be realistic, like the detail on the buildings and the chimneys:

i made a quick video of the map aswell, just of me walking around so you can see more parts of the map, and in full 3D. i think i need to find out how to use more transitions than just the plain fade

its only just over 1mb so it wont take long to dl on 56k, and its just so you can see more of the map. its not that clear either but it would have been too much to upload with high detail

Like the map :D Nice work! But the fps is to low for us (opaclan)

Sometime im under the 30 fps. Average about 50 i guess.
I'am using a ti4600 P4 1,8 512 rimm. Some places (and inside) its ok.
But to many low fps places. When shooting it drops to far down.
Then we cant use it on our server.

Dont get me wrong. I do like this map !
Very nice work (and im gladd people still make mohaa maps and for CallofDuty too in the future i hope....)

Its just my personal opinion. Playability, keeping the action going, artwork and FPS are the factors we look at.
