You know what I find ironic? I actually hate fig newton's. Im just plauged with the name, you know. Thanks for all your help so far, but im just getting started. So I know how to make the brushes and add texture to them. How do I connect them together properly so there is no leaks? Im hopeing that this info will be in your tutorial when it gets up. There are a couple other tutorials that give the same page not found error. Just thouht I would let you know. Wow, now that im registered i get a rank. :D
Thank you,
David Newton

so when i make a map, say with buildings and streets, i should enclose it in a box made of brushes? How do you cut holes in brushes so that you can add doors or walkways. Some of the tutorials containing this information arent up on this site so please be patient.

So many questions...

First about the right clicking, are you sure you have the entdefs.pk3 file in the mohaa/main directory? Then it just should work.

The easiest way of creating holes in brushes is by using the clipper tool. Press 'x' to activate it, then use your left mouse button to designate two or three points along which you want to 'cut' your brush, and then press shift + enter. The original brush is now split up in two separate brushes. You have to realign them a bit and then you have a walkway in it.

Cool I will try that clipping stuff. So what about the map in a box thing? Well the entdefs.pk3 is in the mohaa/main folder and the right click doesnt work. Would it have to do with the two button or three button mouse settings? I have tried both and neither of them work.

Hey sergeon, hows the tuts coming?

So what about the map in a box thing?
Just make sure all entities are enclosed by structural brushes. So you don't necessarily need a box, just make sure there are boundaries to your map. If you don't do that, your map is connected to the void which will result in a 'leaked' error when compiling.

No idea why the right clicking doesn't work. :?

Create a temporary brush, select it, hit 'N' and find the entity you need from the list. Then double click on the entity's name.
