Player start problem

Post by Mantra »

Hi people, I'm not a newbie to mapping completely, but this one problem I seem to have with mapping in Allied Assault... I can't add a player start, there is no "info" section when I right click in the main window, so therefore I cannot add player starts or anything like that, and I have the entdefs.pk3 in the MOHAA\main directory, all the other entities are there. Can someone help?

Maybe I have a dodgy entdefs.pk3 file 8)

Live to map, not map to live.

That's the first thing I checked, oh, but what is the default path for the "entdir" because mine came up with "E:\MOHAA\main\" this is the right directory but I've been told that you need not set that value for the "entdir" in the project settings.

If that makes sense... lol

basepath: c:\games\mohaa\
mapspath: c:\games\mohaa\main\maps\
autosave: c:\games\mohaa\main\maps\
rshcmd: empty
enitity dir: code/
modelmask: .tik
moddir: main

And in preferences, you can mark option Right click to drop entities (not so good in english, not sure this is the right function).

Thanx both of you, it was simple, lol, but the entity dir path wasn't setting correctly. Oh well, now I know this is definately the place to come for any further problems I have with MOHAA mapping... highly likely.
