Disappearing act!

Post by Zip »

Does anyone notice this in their maps too....

If I put a 'Static' ---> 'Furniture' ---> 'bathroomsink' into my map I notice the following:

In MOHRadiantSDK you can see a tap and spout as part of the sink. If I then compile the map in SDK and play it, the tap disappears but the spout doesn't. Where has the tap gone?

Also,

If I put a 'Static' ---> 'Furniture' ---> 'Singlemetalbed' into my map I notice the following:

In SDK you can see some balls on the posts of the bed, but when I compile it......you guessed it.... they disappear in MOH:SH.

Hmmmm :?

maybe it depends on the level of detail you choose in MOHAA, how much you see of a model?!

I have model detail on high. There are two more settings after that....higher and highest. Guess it will be one of those that shows it all.

I compile in SDK, so I don't think I can choose the detail it does.

 i was in a little hurry and didn't see rox' question and so i took your post as an answer to my post... sorrry

and i don't think the compilation settings do matter for this: as far as i know, nodetail means compilation leaves out detail brushes and fulldetail compiles them as structural brushes!? something like this but surely no impact on models. tell me whether this is correct... :?

Hi m8,

You were right, I had to put models on the highest setting to see them in full detail in MOH. I thought the model detail settings would change how well they were draw not leave parts of the model out!
