Spotlight Range

Post by Spike Naylor »

Hi
Is there a maximum range to spotlights.
i.e. I have spotlight fully working but high up and it don't reach the ground. If I stand in the path, a vague hint of light passes over me.

How can I alter the range if possible.
Thanks in advance.

You can increae the distance a light extends by using the keypair value

Select the light in question, and press the N key.

((IN THE First line type in)) ---->light
((Second line type in a value)) 300 is the default, this can be increased dramaticly, you could put in a value of 20000 for instance.

Radius is also your friend here, when creating a SUN like spot light, a value of 10000, and a radius of 5000 will create a big glowing ball of energy.

Most of this information can be found, by selecting a light, and pressing the N key. Notice the text in the window that lists all options related to lights.

The K key will bring up the color picker. Which can be used for selecting the color of the light.
