I'm trying to make a grand staircase for my map. I can bend the stairs and banister into the shape i want, but getting them to all fit together is proving quite hard. Does anyone have any advice on the matter?
First start out with a long skinny brush. Then when you make the next one, make it say, 1 unit smaller and press "e". Then move the closest vertices inside diagonal one unit. And keep doing that, making it smaller each time 'till ya get to the top! I'll put a pic up later for more info
I thought about that (yeah yeah, of course you did Zip! lol), but I wasn't sure whether it would give a smooth effect.
I'd like to see you're pictures though.
I think I might be able to solve the curving up problem by just making the angle it needs to go up straight (i.e 22.5 degrees of free rotation in radiant) Then all I need to worry about is the curve that follows the stairs.
