I'm 100% certain the problem with the blurred texture is in the shader. Check every surfaceparm and make sure you have the right RGB whatever stuff; try copying from a shader that's already in MOHAA.

If you have the texture toolbar at the bottom of radiant try the set boxes for example set 1 2 will tile the texture once across and twice up etc works only for patches cylinders etc . I also found that a sharp angle caused some blurring too . You can try cycle too that sometimes works (rarely) and of course natural .
