When you download a new map to play you put the 'mapname'.pk3 file into your C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\main folder, right?. These are the files you need to remove for the compiler to work properly. You DON'T need to remove the maps that came with MOHAA.

For example, on my computer: (This is just an example)

Let's assume I only have one downloaded map called 'Amazingmap'.

If I want to play it I need to put Amazingmap.pk3 into C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\main.

OK, so now I get bored of Amazingmap and want to make my own map with MOHRadiant, but I need to move Amazingmap.pk3 somewhere or Radiant won't compile.

So, on my desktop I make a new folder called 'custom_pk3' (C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\custom_pk3). When I want to compile with MOHRadiant I move Amazingmap.pk3 into this file. So now it's got nothing to do with MOHAA and so Radiant doesn't know about it. You can now compile away till your hearts content! :)

When I'm finished using MOHRadiant and want to play Amazingmap again I just move Amazingmap.pk3 back from C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\custom_pk3 into C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\main

I over explained it a bit, but I hope it's clear now. :?

As the portal file ( *.prt ) is missing, the error is probably earlier than the stuff you quoted... post all of it please, from the top.

I also get a error when trying to set up the compiler.

The file from Radiant is sitting in the dir, yet the error says that the file does not exist....................I will try to figure it out.

Do I need to take all 20+ custom maps out of my Mainta dir before I try to use MBuilder?

Or since I only play SH, can I use AA settings and just keep main full of only stock maps.

****************EDIT*****************
ERROR: No such file or directory

Chances are that one of your MBuilder paths points to the wrong directory or is just wrong

SOLUTION: Check that all your MBuilder / batch file paths are correct.
Thats the error I get, I found it in the pinned omplier thread above!

When mapping its a good idea to create a "backup" directory for all your custom .pk3s .... Just store them in the backup dir whilst mapping, then paste 'em back when your playing. Its advisable to clear out both main and mainta when mapping for SH..
