HEEEEEEEEEEELPPP!!!

MY level i have been workin on FOR A V LONG TIME!

will NO LONGER OPEN!!!

IT SAYS at the bottom of the map editor

"NO WORLDSPAWN"

so it opens a new map instead!!

???

plz help someone! can i get my level to open again?

Oh no :( Radiant possibly crashed while saving. Try to open the .bak file or a snapshot.

it didn't crash or nothing!

hmmmmmmmmm Help.

how do i open a snapshot or .bak?

will i be able to open my level again

Just rename the files to .map or type *.* (to view all files) in the open dialog box.

".bak" means backup, so if you rename it "mymapname.map", you can open it with the editor.

Another way to fix your map is by opening it with Wordpad. Right at the top it will have the worldspawn properties. Here is an example of what you SHOULD see:

{
"suncolor" "70 70 70"
"ambientlight" "17 17 17"
"classname" "worldspawn"
// brush 0
{
etc...

That classname line is probably what got messed up. You can correct the text and save it just like any other text file.
