My soldiers are a bunch of Terminators?!!!!!!!!!!!

ok picture this:

an outdoors nature area. the borders are lined with treelines.

now it looks good, but since some of teh treeline is transparent, the ai seems to see through all of the texture. at the start of the map, they turn towards the treeline, and start shooting it. its clipped fine, bullets dont go thru, its just that the ai can see thru the treeline. my question is, if i select teh whole treeline, clone it, make it a CAULK script_object, and in the script, 'hide' it, will it work? is there gonna be any conflict brushwise with teh script_object and the normal brushes?

If you use "Actor Clip" they will avoid the obsticles you put it around. For the shooting you have to turn down there sight and hearing. Highlight one of them and hit key I to adjust the AI properties.

i figured if i have a normal brush, make it a script object, and hide it, the ai still thinks its there. thats what i did for static rocks. i can do it withi the treeline, but it will prolly be a lot of work :(.

Just build a wall of caulk behind your treeline (make it detail!).

i figured out a way. i copied it over, then readjusted it so it was in the same plane as the treeline. then i made it all 1 big script_object. the texture was all caulk, and i used the script to hide it and it works great! doenst seem to really effect the fps at all. if it does later on, maybe ill just add a farplane.
