lazy??? after you went to all that trouble of getting the pictures of the lamps and then posting them on here??? :P

i'm sure putting that much dedication into finding your answer you deserve one,

the 1st lamp is static->lamp-> then either...
lightbulb_covered_on_wire
lightbulb_covered_short_wire
lightbulb_covered_no_wire
all self explanitory

the 2nd lamp i think is
lightbulb_caged and then rotated
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

how can i make those kind of flares on the lamps, so it looks like they really shine? When i put a ''light'' at my lamp the light also shines in the seiling and i only want it to shine down, to the floor. How can i do these 2 things? :?

LOL, the ''good mapper'' is me LMAO .. amma n00b mapper, ok i will create caulk around me lil lamps (BTW Which caulk texture???) so they wont light the ceiling  now, one more question: i made some trees with the misc_outside the 4other sides are caulk textured but when i can see the grey edges, which texture i need to put on the 4 other sides so i wont see the grey shit, so it's transparant? i think some black thingy? if yes, which one?

type utility in the texture box

then it's the green and pink one
it doesn't show up on the map :D but will stop lights (hence create shadows)

on the tree question... ermmm... please rephrase that :D
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

Ok, i made a brush. Put a tree texture on one side, but i can see the other four sides as grey, the need to be transparant, so i cant see them. How?

there's where the caulk texture comes in, use this for all faces that shouldn't and aren't seen

in the texture->common or utility in the texture box
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

you used the blank_lightmap texture; this texture uses the same editor-image as the regular caulk texture does. In radiant, look at the names. For all fence-like textures (also treelines) use the common/nodraw texture for the sides you want gone. (I know, caulk works too, but may create unwanted shadows and you'll get a warning message in the console.)

rightclick->static->corona (:pick one). To scale the corona up or down, with the corona selected press N and hit the "scale +/-" button.
