PK3

Post by tltrude »

A pk3 is just a compressed version of the "main" folder.

1. Make copies of your bsp, script, and .min files and place them on your desktop.

2. Create a new folder on your desktop named "maps".

3. Inside the maps folder create a folder named "dm"--if that is what your map is.

4. Place all the the three loose files in the "dm" folder and close all the folders.

5. Right click on on the maps folder and then place your mouse on Winzip. Now click on "Add to maps.zip".

6. Right click on maps.zip on your desktop and goto rename.

7. Rename it "mymapname.pk3" (does not have to be the same as your map) and you are done--except for trashing the maps folder.

Note: If you added new textures, shaders, sounds, or other files, then the folders they are in have to be in zip file as well.

Hope that helps!
