stupid selecting question

ok really stupid question i'm sure but....

how on earth do i select things in radiant?!!
i have been using the Find entity/brush command after clicking all over the place and yes i have reaad the tutorials...

so once i make a brush and deselect it how do i reselect it????

To select whole brush > shift + Click
To select a side of a brush > shift + Ctrl + Click

it's ok, everyone makes mistakes. when i started, i didn't even know how to move the camera, or delete objects! LOL!!!!!
