Can one remove individual LODs' ?

Post by grb »

Hi all,
Can we delete a LOD once it has been attached to the over all terrain object? Put another way, I have created a number of LODs (512x512)
as I have been adding things to a map. The last few I added, ended up
not getting ATTACHED to the existing terrain mesh. YES I aligned these
new LODs with the existing terrain and GOT the window to pop up asking me if I want to attach it to the fixed LOD, etc..

So now, thought the new LODs look ok in the Editor, while in the game,
if I walk over to them, I see a distinct crack, (lower sky box showing through), and if I walk onto the LOD, I sink through the ground!

Thanks for any help

Yes control+shift+leftclick on the patch you want to remove(same you you texture single patches) . Then on the LOD menu select detach selected patches . If you add a patch but don't join it to the terain at first move it and then move it back the popup dialog box will reappear . One other thing you can do is detach the patches and while the patches are selected you can save to image edit it in a paint program and then load from image when you are done . Just a tip I thought I whould add .
