just to sort out that problems:

under which elevator doors is caulk? there's a gap in the groundfloor, yes, but i didn't find more of them, maybe because the doors aren't working for me?

piano will be fixed!

where are those "doors on the left"? on beach side? there is a railing everywhere!?

and finally, which windows do you speak of? in the ground floor or in the upper floors?

:) more haste less speed eh.

I will sort the doors, sort the stairs, and I think I made an inside wall detail, I will look into it all and post a new file for you maybe later, certainly tomorrow :)

The sign I already know aint right, I just left it in till I find the texture I like for it.

Seems to be going quite smoothly, cool.

Wacko the windows on the ground floor, all windows on 1st - 4th floor are good :D, the caulk texture i've changed for a metal plate, to save re-importing everything into the .map, and windows have been done also,

hmmm...
i may of missed that while copying across, but i'm sure i got everything, i'll have another look

as you come up the stairs from any floor, there's the doors on the right that'll lead you into the main hallway area, but if you close that doors, there's a door on the left that'll lead to the big drop :?

Jack everything as smooth as a baby's bum :P do you have Yahoo Messenger!? we can chat on there to sort out the problems,

Both i'll send you both the assassination.scr and if i can get my angelfire account working again, i'll post the .pk3 on there and e-mail you both the address

who's working on what next?

what's the verdict on a,b, or c for the objectives? multiple /random /multi-random ?

plans for what the map needs? any ideas???
hope this helps, prob not cos it's all foreign 2 me :-/

Ok, I pretty much remade my brothel, almost finished with it, maybe even post my new zip later,

I am happy carrying on with the octagon buildings, will do the one opposite the brothel, its got concrete pillars at the bottom, sure you can see them.

Cool. everything seems in hand.

:)

Ok I reckon, random objective, would keep it fresh, never know whats coming.

Here's my remade bar, I am still gonna tweak it I am sure, but here you go, its inserted into the map like last time I posted, you know the score.

any comments are welcome, I will start on the building opposite, the one with square pillars at the bottom and add to this one too.

ok, this is gonna sound really harsh, but take it on the chin... :D

there's a few things i've changed, but there's still more that need changing, the room heights, although they were set by me, they were just for my notes, i didn't tell you this i admit, but they should only be 192 units high, not 256,

there are quite a few overlapping brushes, i know that's a pain in the ass, cos it's at 45 degrees, but it's making my job of inserting it into the map impossibly :( ,

there are windows that move into the wall

there's a texture that doesn't line up with anything else on the red wallpaper,

the textures should only be .5 the size they are at the moment, when you compare the piano to the wall, it looks like a childs toy,

there are stairs that aren't accessible due to them being too high,

the side edge of the doors need there own texture, the one with the lock on it,

there a wall that doesn't reach an adjoining wall,

and finally :P sorry but this does all sound like i'm having a right go at ya, but...

any chance of there being new textures used/made, the wallpaper/cladding texture have been used in the hotel, it's a shame to have them both decorated the same,

if you'd like i'll make the textures, but they'll need to be made .5 scale when applied,

the sign, if you do manage to find a decent texture for it, just have it haning off of one bar, i'll have it squeaking in the breeze,

:D cheers Si, (i never knew you were Simon) :P

Hi Jack,
leave the wall texture red/wood! I didn't like it very much in the hotel, so I might change them there, and imho they rather fit to ur building. I'll try to find out what Nuggets thinks about this

Ok, I had a run around what I made so far. I pretty much am happy with the layout of the rooms. I will lower the ceilings and re texture the rooms.

I found the dodgy couple of steps, ah you know how it is, I couldnt run around and test. I found the brush that didnt touch, by the main door on the ground floor right ?

The window going into the wall, you mean the one on the first floor ? I saw that it looked odd in the wall, that should get sorted with the lowering of the ceilings.

Oh yeah the edge of the doors, no worries, will sort it, hope I find the right edge ??

I think I covered everything, will sort all the problems out then sort out the sign, that can wait till later.

Oh yeah, I really liked the beach, pukka.

yeay!!! home early from work :D i'll send you both the latest .map

i've made the changes to ur room Si and added a couple more things, hope ya don't mind

i'm working on the radar at the moment, so that really should keep me busy for a while ( :D :( don't know whether to smile or cry :P )

Wacko's working on the building on the right of the hotel, and i've taken the building directly opposite the square entrance, so the others are up for grabs,

i've amended the building on the right by the beach aswell, (lowered it) so that'll be an easy one to do with 0 and 90 degree angles :D rather than the crap in the other area, which fool ever designed that

anyway i'm e-mailing now :D

Cool, I got the new files, only thing is, when I compile a map it wont play in AA, only in SH, now all I did was open your .map in mbuilder and compiled it, what did I do wrong ?

Apart from that I had a look around in radiant, hotel is looking really nice, cool lobby, and the road that curves down to the jetty, very nice.

I had this freaky stuff going on when I tried to run around in spearhead, as I said it wont load in aa, maybe thats the cause of this weird stuff I was seeing,

Image

Then as I was blinded by this blurry stuff ( looks a bit like the sky to me )
I started get shot and clubbed by germans, and the console kept telling me my origin,

yeah, weird looking color thing... hmmm... was fined until i packed the pk3, must have got one of Wacko's textures in there

the origin thing was just for my benefit for the radar, should of removed that line for script release

don't know why it won't load in AA though, hmmm... worked fine on mine

yeah it is the sky texture... but why it's doing that i don't know :?

got to get back to work now, i'll be online a lot later :(
