Taking a break

Post by Surgeon »

I'm going to be pretty much away for the rest of the week, maybe longer. One of my best friends, someone i've known for 16 years or so, died @ the weekend of cancer. Its hit me really hard and quite frankly MoH and CoD couldn't really be further from my mind. It also means that I will prob not read PM's or answer emails for a bit. If anyone needs help please ask in the forums or one of the excellent mods.

As far as taking time off, thats the way it should be. 16 years is quite alot of history and my deapest sympathies are with the family and friends. Hate to hear about your loss :(

Well I don't pray but my thoughts are with anyone involved. Don't worry about the site.

Well, I just found this site (and mapping in general) 2 weeks ago, but that can't keep me from offering you my hopes and prayers. Don't worry about not being able to help us in your absence, because you've organized such a great site here I already have all the help I need at my fingertips for many months to come. Don't put a time limit on how long of a break you need though. Take as long as you need. While you will be missed, we understand the priorities you have before you. I lost my father 4 years ago to cancer, and I still need some time off to just meditate and think about it. We understand.

It's sad... knowing a friend for so long and then losing him, and knowing there's no way to save him. It's like watching your mom or dad in a fire. I'm sure we are all sad about your loss, that bloody disease has caught and set every heart on this planet to a deep sorrow. I for one know about 3 familiy friends that have died from cancer... and sad it is. Take your time from recovering, as it took me awhile also. God be with you...
